The new 220,000-SF, patient tower and renovations to 98,000-SF of existing space was a major renovation to the Sarasota Memorial Hospital complex.  As part of a campus-wide infrastructure redesign, Sarasota Memorial Hospital recognized the need for its new patient tower to enhance efficiency in patient care and greatly improve the experience for patients and their families.

The patient bed tower houses expanded services for pediatrics, labor and delivery, orthopedics, cardiology, women’s services, infant care, an expanded NICU, 191 new private beds, and additional isolation rooms to enhance infection control measures and oncology services.
