This high profile project in Orlando, Florida
provides medical services in a highly functional,
beautiful 11 story hospital facility. Encompassing
over 400,000sf, the hospital provides women's
and infant services including a 112-bed neonatal
intensive care unit, ranked the 4th largest NICU
in the United States. Wal-Mark Contracting provided
the engineering or light gauge metal framing systems,
framing of exterior walls and soffits; exterior
sheathing; portland cement plaster; coordination
and layout of interior partitions and soffits;
framing, hanging, and finishing of interior partitions
and soffits incorporating acoustical, smoke-rating,
fire-rating, and vertical deflection criteria;
spray-applied orange peel texture; rated drywall
shaft construction including elevator shafts,
horizontal mechanical duct enclosures, and smoke
evacuation systems; inventory and installation
of hollow metal frames; provide firestopping,
draftstopping, and stenciling of walls. Owner
purchase order and contractor controlled insurance
programs.
